Hi, I'm Irene May

I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

A Reflection on the Source of Intimacy

Adam and Eve (man) lost their Privilege for intimacy with God because they contravened the law of God (disobedience). “Then the Lord God commanded man, saying, you may freely eat fruit from every tree of the orchard, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it, you will surely die” (Genesis 2:16-17). The death was the separation of man (the sin) from God because His holy state cannot merge/relate with sin. God drove man from His presence, including the generational line (the whole world), and are currently under the control of the prince of the world, the devil. “The soul who sins shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:20a). The sin resulted in the death of man, the man got deeper in sin, working contrary to the nature of God. “The whole world lies in wickedness” (1 John 5:19), under the power of the evil one. Man’s loss of intimacy with God deserves the same judgment of hellfire as the devil.
Ever since man’s death (separation and condemnation), everyone has been looking for the solution for peace, joy, and satisfaction with no avail. Many of us get stuck with our resolve to smoking, drugs, changing dosage and brand, and keep graduating to more for solutions. We get hooked in our indulgence to the point that withdrawal becomes impossible. It is not uncommon for these substances to end up affecting the physical, emotional, cognitive to a detrimental level. A few attempted or committed suicide, for the sake of inner satisfaction, assuming ending it all would suffice. Man is not the answer to solving his problems. The creator God had the perfect plan for man’s life at it’s best, but the enemy (the devil), foiled it to destroy man for companionship.
