Hi, I'm Irene May

I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

Intimacy and General Living

Our blog on intimacy so far touched on the first step to intimacy, God’s desire to be intimate, the attractions or benefits on earth and eternity, hindrances and promoters.

How does intimacy affect our general living?

In the last post we saw the truth about that power, which had trailed humanity from creation to work against the purpose of God; the old serpent as the Bible described him. His goal has always been to cloud everyone who does not know the truth about the purpose of God for every of His creation. The old serpent’s goal is to steal, kill, and destroy humanity’s destiny on earth and eternally, he never relents from his strategy.

This old serpent continues to target the born-again child of God regardless of their spiritual maturity. We hear stories about the fall or atrocities of some spiritual giants in the Christendom. This old deceiver knows if he strikes the Shepherd, the sheep will scatter. To succeed in the Christian race, we have to know our enemy. Reason Paul stressed on the topic the struggle of the Christian is not against flesh and blood, but principalities, wickedness in high places (the previous post). The one we call our enemy  can present at school, on the job, at home; and use these mediums to trip our spiritual journey.

We can imagine what happens to a church congregation where a favorite preacher becomes the victim of a scandal? The first group the devil will swayed off are likely to be new converts or those not spiritually healthy. We can now relate the parable of the sower in our previous blog to the spiritual standing in Christendom and the outcome of our so-called faith.

When we know our enemy, we will be on our guard 24/7.

Joshua 1:8 instructs the child of God as follows,” This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Furthermore, Paul teaches us about our enemy the devil and reinforces on the secrets of Christian success Ephesians 6: 10-18.

We shall continue on this topic on the next blog, until then;

May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace, Amen.
