The Source of Our Daily Strength

As we walk intimately with God, the source of our daily strength is in Him. David said, I will lift my eyes to the hills from where comes my help ((Psalm 121:1). I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

There was a season in my life, I saw everything bleak about life, means to help the kids for sustenance and education seemed impossible. All I could do was call upon the Lord. He made a path in the area of strength and finances beyond my wildest dream. When I look back, I conclude He is faithful. He shows up in different ways to meet us all at the point of our needs.

The Lord, who made us know the weaknesses or lack he placed in our lives is for a purpose, to glorify Him and prevent our boasting in self-sufficiency (pride). We may seek and serve him in that weakness we call “my habit or flaws,” and He reveals His ability to work out our expectations while serving Him.  Paul, regarding his flaw said he begged the Lord many times to take it away; and God spoke to him… My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is perfected in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Timing to our solution is all in His control, we are to remain patient serving the Lord and allow Him to move in our lives as he wishes.

Devotion to God we call intimacy is the answer to all our problems, inefficiencies, and questions. As we focus on Him in an effective daily walk, things we call burdens, weaknesses are made lighter, and we are strengthened. Our temptations or flaws are not meant to pull us down and live in defeat or surrender of them, but a pointer to know mankind is insufficient, but all are made strong in weaknesses through Christ.

The book of James 1:2-8 says,” My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let, not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

We can enjoy this weakness made strong when we learn and endeavor to cast it all on Him-at the altar of sacrifice. Jesus said to cast all your care and anxiety on Him for he cares about you (1Peter 5:7). Furthermore, the Lord said,” If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so, you will be My disciples” (John 15:7-8).

Still, searching for strength and grace for the situation at hand? The Savior is saying, trust me and obey me, and you will bear fruit.
