Hi, I'm Irene May

I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

Intimacy and Security

Our blog so far highlights the path of righteousness. The Lord has not called us unto himself for His own selfish purposes; He invited us into His fold for our own benefit. The enemy of our soul fights our destiny in God and brings about distractions to turn off our attention from the path the Lord has prepared, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12). God’s plan is to enjoy the sumptuous and manifold blessings He provided. The scripture rightly tells us that” Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man; the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). The enemy knows this and deceives through swaying us into making emphasis on issues that only give temporary satisfaction,” There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12).

The Lord’s invitation is for an intimate encounter,” Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me” (John 15:4). Unfortunately, the enemy’s tricks divert us from God’s ways that we get stuck on frivolous and petty things, and before we recognize it, we have wasted the best of our years. The good news is we’re all still living in the age of grace. He is still calling us to come home and enjoy His best. ” Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28-29). Intimacy with the Lord is a continuum of daily learning about Him, and we discover His secrets unfolding to us, every moment of the way.

The secret is only discovered with intimacy, a process we get addicted to the walk with God. We find many things we place as priority become insignificant, and we see the love for the Savior outweighs them all. These secrets are only discovered at” intimacy” with the Lord God.

The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, sounds weird to the common Christian. Intimacy with the Almighty God placed these three Hebrew men in a state to defy fire; the ecstasy of the walk with God and His presence was more than fire. They’d rather be thrown into the furnace of fire than bow down to the worthless god. At the end they found deliverance even in the face of fire.
