Hi, I'm Irene May

I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

Intimacy and Abode

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, also believe in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may also be John” (14:2-3).

It is, therefore, worth taking note that the union of the born-again with God is not a mere situation; it is a fact.

The Bible also made mention about the seat of the believer, ”But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved, and raised us together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-10).

Having these facts from the Bible about the position of the believer, what type of Christians are we to be?

Is it enough to work contrary to the purpose of the Almighty in all we do, or live pursuing all the pleasures of life? Jesus warned about the love of the world and said,” let your affections reflect on things above where Christ is. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:15-17).                                                                                                    When we love him and do His will, we will be proud at His appearing, which He promised, and He will take us home and we will reign with Him.                                                                                    Having known this fact, what manner of Christians are we to be?

We are to be Christians who live watchful in expectation for His appearing, so when He comes back, we will not be ashamed at His appearing. Jesus is coming in the same way He ascended into heaven.

Our lives should reflect who we are supposed to be, Staying as He expects us according to the scripture, and when we lack the wisdom, ask Him who gives voluntarily without partiality.
