Hi, I'm Irene May

I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

Intimacy and a Sure Help

”Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble” (Job 14:1).

Now and then, everyone encounters some significant challenges. Such experiences are never pleasant; they could be distressing and overwhelming.
We ask ourselves in such situations the common question, ’Why me?’
Our initial reaction as a human is to seek physical help as a result; some people consult with friends, families, church, mediums, like the occult, palm readers, a few on their knees to God.
Unfortunately, some end up with more complicated issues and experiences, leading a few to a disastrous ending.

Why Problems?
Trials are part of life’s mission. They act as a catalyst to improve or shape our lives to make us wiser or more substantial.
The Bible does not exclude problems in the journey of life. Many faithful followers of God experienced some degree of issues.
The outcome of problems is relative to our outlook on them.
As someone who cherishes the life of intimacy with God, it is crucial to understand the Bible perspectives relating to problems.

Jesus said in the world you would have tribulations, but be of good courage for I have overcome. (John 16:33). This alert is to draw attention to the wisdom from Him in tumultuous times.

Trials in life can be for many reasons, some of which are as follows:

Carelessness, when we are not obedient to the moral laws of God and nature.
Carelessness relating to natural laws can be just the simple laws of health and hygiene, such as easy, simple hand washing, healthy eating, and drinking habits. Recreational flaws, not paying attention to the whole man in the perspective of body, soul, and Spirit.

To make us aware of our sin and we can go back to Him and better regenerated
The parable of the prodigal son is about the son who squandered his inheritance in careless living. His loss and desperation sent him to the piggery to fend for himself. The review of His life experience from grace to grass caused him a turn around in-decision. He acknowledged his prodigality and went back to His Father in repentance, asked his father to employ him as one of his servants. His father embraced Him in love and reinstated Him to his sonship position. Jesus said, in like manner, the Lord accepts the sinner, who comes to God in repentance.

To strengthen, equip us for His work, and give us wings like the eagles (support) to help others.
The eagle’s style of parenting is coaxing, even taunting, their young from the nest. This approach motivates the fledgling to venture out of the nest to pursue what it wants and develops the strength to fly heights in the process.

To bring us closer to Him.
Challenges in life can cause the child of God to recount their entire life of a faithful walk with God and ask the question why. Job, according to the scripture, was a righteous man who hated evil. The narration in the Bible recounts the enemy’s plan to target him for an attack. The Lord allowed the devil but boasted about Job’s godly integrity and warned the devil not to touch his soul. During the trial, Job experienced lots of agony from losing children, property, and health. He questioned God, at the same time, esteemed Him. God revealed himself to Job after some period of suffering, enlightened Job’s weak understanding of Himself-God, and restored all his losses. In the end, Job had the testimony of “I heard about you, and now I know you.”

Also, to showcase Himself as the Almighty. The children of Israel (God’s favorite) were in bondage in the land of Egypt, a fulfillment of God’s prophecy to Abraham. At the appointed time for God’s plan to take effect and bring them out of bondage, He raised Moses as the deliverer. Pharaoh, the King of Egypt, ignored Moses’ message for the release of the children of Israel. As a result of his refusal, the Lord subjected the land of Egypt to multiple serial plagues because of Pharaoh’s stubbornness. Finally, the Lord ordered Moses to celebrate the Passover (smearing the celebration lamb’s blood on the lentils and doorposts) in the camp of the Israelites because He would send the shadow of death to every Egyptian household. At about midnight, the Egyptians experienced the death of every firstborn of the land, from animals to humans, including the heir to Pharaoh’s throne. However, the camp of the Israelites was safe because the Angel of God passed over the Israelites
Pharaoh and all the Egyptians sent away the Israelites with urgency. The Israelites left Egypt. At a point in their journey, they encountered a dead end of the Red Sea and could not go any further. The Egyptian warriors, on horsebacks and Pharaoh, we’re chasing them again for capture. They were between the devil and the deep sea. They cried unto God. The Lord asked Moses to point his rod over the water; God performed His wonder of making a pathway in the ocean for the Israelites to pass through. Pharaoh and the forces followed through the same path on the sea; they were all midway, the sea reverted and drowned all the Egyptians and their horses. God magnified His Name through all the world because of this act.

The Lord is a Sure Help

But God demonstrates his love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Now, this is what the LORD says, the one who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel: “Don’t be afraid, for I will protect you. I call you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you (Isaiah, 43:1-2).

As a child of the King of kings, You are not alone during trials. The Lord is still in the business of changing stories today. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Everyone has a story or a burden to share, he wants you to give him all your anxieties, and He will take care of them all. (1Peter, 5:7).

My book ”I Heard about you, and Now I know You” relates to the story of a young lady who found herself tied to a corner of pain and misery. She held on to God, learned more about Him, and lived in obedience to His Word. She experienced her victory and currently living to appreciate the relevance of God in every life.
I pray your story is or become like hers.
”Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me” (Psalm 50:15).

The Lord is sure to help in times of trouble. He answers when we call on Him.
