We are all born into the culture of our environment. Regardless of everyone’s background, the prevalence of lifestyle remains to eat, drink, party, socialize- hang out with the groups of preference and flow with their lifestyle. The same revolving routine and has become the standard of life. To avoid the boredom of these routines, people get more in-depth into habits to create more fun.
Life continues to revolve, and a child is born, the parents die, good friends get sick along the way, some die in the process.
Does anyone ever ponder? Why am I here on earth? Just to exist and fade away like animals and plants? Is life only dependent on theories and facts of science – excellent knowledge and academic exercise, which fade away over time and are replaced by another theory and reality? n.b Science plays a pivotal role in human life, and its role cannot be ignored.
The recent incidences and exposure of events we hear, see and read in nations, monarchy, statehouses, rulers, governor give a cold foot, and shuddering to the observers; and offers a second thought about controversy and living. The disorderliness and moral decadence from those supposed to be examples of law and orderliness, good not evil; truth, not falsehood, and that has spread like a pandemic has set a shock wave into many lives. Its recent and disappointing trend will hurt the old, the youth, born and unborn to an alarming deficit
There was a time everyone looked up to those institutions as examples and support for law and order, right, not wrong; unfortunately, the confidence and hopes placed on the nations’ models seem gone. Are countries’ and subjects’ hopes battered? Does the current state of living now keep all discouraged, hopeless, depressed, some with the question, why am I living? Where else do I go, or what else do I do? Hearts are weeping, many in distress. When will change come?
Is there is hope for all?
Let’s see the fact of the scripture in time of storm and confusion, ”We know that whoever is born of God does not sin, but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen” (1 John 18-21).
The current event is Deja vu; it’s not new. I will illustrate with the period of Noah, in Genesis 6. Man’s wickedness was at the peak, and the inclination of his heart was evil all the time. God was sad. He made man and decided to wipe man off the earth’s face in flood. Noah found favor with God because he was a righteous man who did not compromise with the evil trend of his society. The Lord made a covenant with Noah to keep himself and his family alive during the disaster, and He describes the plan for the project to Noah will build an ark big enough to contain Noah’s family and the species of other animals and plants on earth. Noah preached repentance to the people in his nation while building; they jeered, made a mockery of him while continuing with their sins.
At God’s timing to destroy the earth, He ordered Noah to assemble all He instructed Him into the ark and to shut the ark locked. The Lord caused a heavy and flooding rain upon the earth for 40days and forty nights. Every creature on earth died in flood. The Lord established Noah and all in the ark to replenish the world after the flood was over.
Where then makes the righteous stand in a perverse society or world.
Does the Christian conform to the wicked trend in their environment?
“Though hand joins in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered” (Proverbs 11:21).

Man was created for no other purpose but to live and fellowship with God. Unfortunately, the devil foiled God’s plan and the goal at the garden of Eden through one man (Adam and Eve). Since the garden’s incident, the man changed from righteousness to sin (carnal, a life of flesh), died from the Life-giving Spirit of God. A man remains separated from righteousness (God). The sinful nature of man is death- meaning sent out from the presence of God and now controlled by everything devil.” The acts of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21).
The event at the garden of Eden was grievous to God, and He planned the reversal to restore man. God informed the devil after the act; He would raise the woman’s seed who will bruise his head, and the devil His heel. (Genesis, 3:15).
God fulfilled this promise through the birth of Christ the Savior at Christmas and concluded it at Calvary where the lamb of God, Jesus Christ the son of God, was crucified and shed His blood on the cross to redeem man,“ And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood, there is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22)
So we can fulfill His purpose here on earth and live no longer to human norms but unto Him
Three days after Jesus died, He rose from the dead, He revealed Himself to His disciples and a few others who were witnesses to His resurrection. Jesus ascended to the heavens after all the events. Today, He is sitting on the right hand of the throne of God, making intercession for us. The Lord has given Him a name that is above all names, and at His Name, Jesus, every knee must bow of things in heaven and things on earth, and every tongue must confess that Jesus is Lord.
What then is the significance of His death?
His death is an expression of the love of God to the whole world. The blood He shed is to atone for every man’s sin, so no one remains separated from God or experience eternal damnation (hellfire) because of sin.
How do we apply God’s offer of Salvation?
A ruler came to Jesus at night while He was on earth. The ruler asked Jesus how a man can inherit the Kingdom of God. Jesus answered and said, Except a man be born again, He cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.
The ruler was curious about going back to the mom’s womb. Jesus responded, except a man is born of water and Spirit, and the birthing of flesh yields the life of the flesh, and the birthing of the Spirit yields the Spirit.

The born-again child of God has a turn around living From life in the flesh to the indwelling of the Spirit of God, and as he or she reads and obeys the scriptures, the life becomes transformed to the new nature of God. The individual manifests the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such, there is no law.
He died so our living will no longer be to ourselves but unto God the creator of heaven and earth who made us live with Him in perfect fellowship,” that those who live will no longer live unto themselves but unto God” (2 Corinthians 5:15).
Living in Christ is life in abundance. The Holy Spirit empowers you to walk the new life (living) with God. Jesus repurchased you and restored you ”The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full ” (John 10:10).
As we live in Him, our focus remains on Him, The Holy Spirit empowers us to do what pleases the Savior, and the negative trends no longer have a grip on us. Ephesians puts it this way, ” Then we will no longer be like babies. We will not always be changing like a ship that the waves carry one way and then another. We will not be influenced by every new teaching we hear from people who are trying to deceive us—those who make smart plans and use every kind of trick to fool others into following the wrong way”(4:14)
My question to all is, how is your living? Still under the defeat at the garden of Eden?
Another big question From Jesus; what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul.
Living in Christ is life in abundance. When you ask the Lord into your life, you are born anew with the Holy Spirit to empower you to walk the new life (living) with God. Jesus repurchased you, and Jesus restored you.” The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full ” (John 10:10).
Jesus promises us His peace,” Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
As we live the Christian life, Jesus warns about living and revolving experiences about life and encourages to remain healthy,” These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”(John 16:33).
