Hi, I'm Irene May

I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

What If Jesus Had Not Come?

There would not be a reversal of the curse that occurred at the garden of Eden                                                                                                                                                                                                 When Adam and Eve (man) sinned in the garden of Eden, the sinful nature became incompatible with God’s Holiness. The man was separated from the Holy God with the associated curses. Man would remain condemned in the state of death on earth (separation from God), and after the physical death, destined for eternal separation from God, in Satan’s kingdom. We all would-be victims of hellfire, but because he came and when we receive Him as our Lord and Savior, the curse is reversed. We have our names inscribed in the book of life, and we can make heaven. The man may no longer die because He came to remove us from the clusters of sin and death.

If Jesus had not come, there would not be a reconciliation for peace with God and freedom from eternal damnation. ”

For unto us, a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice, From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:6-7).

He came from heaven to teach us about the loving father and God’s salvation plans for man. He lived His three years of ministry manifesting the power of God for forgiveness, deliverance, and the mercy of our Father in heaven. He came to the world to die as a sacrificial lamb, shed His blood to atone for man’s sin, and reconcile man to God. He is the righteous one qualified to take back the key of man’s freedom from the devil, reverse the curse from the scene at the garden. He did it the day He died on the cross and went down to hell to reclaim the authority the devil usurped over man.                                                                                                              Now, because Jesus came, his death purchased our redemption, we can ask God to forgive us our sins through the finished work at Calvary and ask Jesus to reign in our lives.  We become the sons of God after receiving the Lord Jesus Christ.

If Jesus had not come, there would be no relationship with God.

If Jesus had not come, we would be the most miserable and permanent victims of the taskmaster, enslaving us with his different yokes, tossed around without hope of coming out. Jesus made us realize the man was being dominated by the prince of this world (the devil) and taught us the difference. Jesus stated the prophecy from the book of Isaiah,                          “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind,  To set at liberty, those who are oppressed” (Luke 4:18).                                                                                                                                                                                                                   He also distinguished between His mission and the devil’s throughles such as, and I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know My sheep and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so, I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice, and there will be one flock and one shepherd” (John 10:11-18).

Now that He came, we have the Son of God, the heir of all things, Lord of all, King of kings as our friend. He desires to live inside of us and relate with us as much as we allow Him.                He taught us not allow our hearts to be troubled, believe in God and Him also. He told us about heaven; and said, in His Father’s house, there are many mansions. He wouldn’t know this if it were otherwise. He says He will prepare a place for us, and when Himself comes back, He will take us unto Himself so that we can be with Him. (John 14:1-3).

Jesus calls us His own to abide in Him.

He told us to abide in Him and He in us,” Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, and you are the branches. The one who abides in Me bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so, you will be My disciples” (John 15:4-11).

He surely extended the most incredible love to us, the son of God came to the world to save us, sinners, offered us the gift of sonship and citizenship of heaven (Philippians 3:20-21). He also promised us the heir inheritance, ” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer along with Him, that we may also be glorified together” (Romans 8:16-17).

“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers’ miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” (Hebrews, 2:3-4). Jesus is coming back again, no more as the Savior but as a judge to those who refuse His offer of salvation and finalize what they prefer (Hellfire) (Revelation 21:1-7).

” Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).
