Hi, I'm Irene May

I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

What Do I Benefit from This Jesus Called Christ?

The Angels’ essential News says, ” unto us is born, a Savior.”                                                                                                        Have  you ever been in a situation you wished you had a turnaround?                                              What thoughts go through your mind with an experience similar to being tied to a corner?                                    Did you figure out or express that you can’t take it any longer?                                            Someone else will ask why I was born to this world?                                                                Another could wish or want to end it.

These are common thoughts when we all get to the end of our oars. A few can experience intervals of relief only to be bombarded again repeatedly with similar issues, which become a lifetime experience, the individual becoming edgy, irritable, nervous, with profane expressions and comments.

A few can’t take it any longer and decide to help themselves and end it or push it further to substance use for the feeling of joy. Some may describe the state as enjoying life or “take away your sorrows,” resulting in unavoidable habits that distort the whole system. The individual requires assistance to a possible recovery. A few died through the indulgence of some practices and are gone. Some ended it all by suicide, concluding life is not worth living.

It is disheartening to find individual life experiences can graduate to various degrees of adverse outcomes.

Some observers’ reactions could relate to fault finding while ascribing the situation to lack of adequate guidance, dysfunctional background, etc. How accurate are these causative assessments? Humanity has experienced problems where we hear horrific news of the supposed ideal environment going through the same motions, some involving suicidal actions at the end. Observers become puzzled, express reactions like” what else does he/she want” ” if I had such a luxury, I go to the… And chill out.” And this is all I need in life etc.

I believe life experiences get many curious and the reason for conducting research. We all can question what is life, or happiness, or existence purposes? Many books have tried rationalizing from different facets, but there are many mysteries still unraveled.

Can enjoying life relate to marriage, singleton, friends, wealth, travel? We all agree the Hollywood experiences on these questions do not have a linear response. They have not, in many cases, suggesting any positive affirmation to the question of life satisfaction.

The man remains in pursuit of happiness and, seeking the answer to satisfaction, delves deeper into wild innovations to satisfy this mystery of pleasure in all its ramifications. The problem remains, and the more search result in many people are caught in the passion of these discoveries as a lifestyle and end up being habitual.

There is a consistent view to the answer to life’s satiety, which is absolutely outside the scope of man.

What was God’s Original Plan for Creating Man?

A remarkable statement is that God created the heavens and the earth. According to the book of Genesis, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Chapter 1). The world was in a chaotic disorderliness, and His Spirit was hovering around the surfaces. God spoke the Word, and there was orderliness, wherein everything was in place the heavens, the earth, sun, moon, stars, the seas, the ocean, the trees, and herbs, fishes, flying and creeping things; all in their shapes and sizes, species, and colors.

The Lord made the man, Adam, decided to provide help good enough for him and created the woman, Eve, from His ribs. “God created man in his image. In God`s image, he created him; male and female, he created them.  God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:27-28).

Why Does Man Need the Savior?

The man He created a living soul (Genesis 2:7),” in the image of God, which is holiness, and righteousness; the nature compatible with God. As a result, man could flow in sweet fellowship and enjoy their maker. God was their source of living; the relationship with God was perfect. “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God” (1 John 3:9).

One fateful day, the devil snatched man’s inheritance of righteousness, divine fellowship, peace, joy, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. God warned man,” the day you eat of the fruit of good and evil; you will die. ” but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die,” (Genesis 2:17). The first man created failed to preserve the divine law; on this day, they listened to the devil (Sin). Since then, the man died. Sin is death, separation from holiness, or life. “The soul who sins shall die” (Ezekiel 18:20a).

The scene at the garden resulted in incompatibility with God’s holiness, and since then, the man was separated from life (God) and became dead like the devil, and Satan has been the ruler of man ever since.

The Lord drove the man out of the Garden he placed them, and the man lost the fellowship with God because of sin, a barrier between God and man up till today.

Adam and Eve, the first man, became Sin and passed on the sin gene to all world generations.

Ever since many have their living under the drive of the prince of the earth, the devil and human beings are becoming deeper in sin.

Only the Savior can redeem man from the hand of the enemy.

Does Man’s Living Please, God?

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the planet, and He was grieved in His heart” (Genesis 6:5-6).

We see God’s reaction to man’s way of living in the days of Noah. He was disgusted about man’s living and decided to destroy the whole earth through the flood. He preserved a righteous remnant for procreation.

God swore he would not destroy the earth in the manner any longer.

God remained in disgust with the man.

What Satan Stole from Man

The devil stole man’s divine inheritance of a living soul. ” the Lord said let’s make man in our image”” And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7)

Satan stole from us our life in the spirit (the Spirit of God), of which the fruits are” love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23).

He deprived us of our fellowship with God, walking hand in hand with Him.

He stole our sonship and benefits as the heir of the father.

He stole our dignity as beloved children of the Father, made us strangers to God.

He stole our identity as children of God, to children of the devil.

He destroyed our destiny in God.

The devil took away man’s inheritance of the kingdom of God, “those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5: 22b).

The man David received the anointing of the Spirit of God as the King of Israel, a benefit the kings received at the time. David experienced the role of the anointing in His life, cherished it, and pleaded with God not to take His Holy Spirit away from Him after he sinned, and prayed for the restoration. David appreciated the life in the Spirit and treasured it.

What the Devil Gave to Man

The devil engaged the woman in the garden of Eden and deceitfully contradicted God’s instructions to the woman, and he deceived the woman to believe the fruit was good for food. She ate it, and the man ate too.

Satan gave man sin and death “the soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezekiel 18:20a).

He caused us current and eternal separation from God.

The devil caused the exchange of the spirit of God in man, for the deposit of flesh, which are “adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;” (Galatians 5: 19-21a).

He took away man’s inheritance of the kingdom of God, “those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5: 22b).

The devil made man an enemy of God.

He gave man separation from God

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son does not have life.

He gave man slavery to serve sin and Satan

Why Did God Create Man?

God created man to enjoy fellowship with God and vice-versa, which the devil ruined at the garden scene.

God initiated measures to restore fellowship with the man temporarily through messages from the prophets and leaders; however, God declared the permanent plan right at the scene in the garden. “And I will put enmity

between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel” (Genesis 3: 15).

The Israelites’ relationship with God, a chosen nation, was the replica and the fringes of God’s process for man’s redemption. The blood of bulls was used for cleansing during the transition but was not authentic enough for the remission of sin. God chose various prophets to rebuke the chosen children sin, declare the punishment for their stiff neck, predict about the coming Messiah and the transformation that will take place.

And After Many Years God Sent the Savior

The Lord was desperate for man’s return to fellowship with Him. His amazing love for the world caused Him to send His Son. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). The shedding of blood was necessary for the cleansing of sin. Unfortunately, both the selected high priest and the people received cleansing at the event. After that, they go back to their sinning.

God planned His Son’s alternative, a once and for all and power-packed sacrifice for the whole world that renews the soul and gives a new life (God’s Spirit) again as the original at creation. The offer would occur at God’s timing (at the fullness of time). “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them” (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

It Is Not an Ordinary Thing That Jesus Was Born?

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people, for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

“Glory to God in the highest,

And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Like 2:8-14).

And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So, he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:

Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace,

According to Your word;

For my eyes have seen Your salvation

Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples,

A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles,

And the glory of Your people Israel.”

And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which the angels spoke of Him. Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against yes, a sword will pierce through your soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed” (Luke 2:25-35).

“Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of great age and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fasting and prayers night and day. And coming in that instant, she gave thanks to the Lord and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem” (Luke 2:36-38).

Are we passionate about recovering our first Spiritual Nature?

Even though we were sinners, God did not give up on us; His plan all along was to restore us. On Christmas Day, he actualized the process.

What a great love from a Great God. Oh! How He loves us. He does not want us to miss out and sent His loving Son to conclude the work of redemption.

After three years of ministry at age 33, Jesus laid His life for us to be stricken, wounded, pierced, nailed on the cross. The blood He shed is for our atonement and sacrifice, to reconcile.

The sacrifice is of no value until we as individuals actualize it by being born again through the sinner’s prayer and invitation below.

Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” (John 3:3-4).

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit” (John 3:5-8).

“And as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness, even so, must the Son of Man be lifted, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:14-17).

“He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil” (John 3:18-19).

What do We gain from the Lord Jesus Christ?

He canceled the curse of sin

We are no more the devil’s children

Jesus took back everything the devil stole and Jesus’ blood cancelled all the devil gave in exchange through His sacrifice on the cross.

He repaired the destruction the devil made in our lives

Jesus came to restore our fellowship with God through the new birth, fill us afresh with the living soul, the Spirit of God.

We Have our names in the book of life as candidates of the eternal Kingdom the moment we accept Him into our lives.

We can walk hand in hand with God going forward after being born again.

He lives in our heart in the form of the Holy Spirit.

He is our friend who is closer than a brother

We can tell Him about all our cares and anxieties, he answers.

We do not have to depend on only running around for answers and solutions, we have them in His Word, and we can ask Him in prayers. We just call on Him in time of distress, and He will answer us.

My wish for every man is to taste the Lord and find He is good, and He is the answer to life’s issues and our hope for life after physical death. The whole world need the Savior Jesus Christ for their salvation and to take back all that the Devil stole. All these benefits become personal when we surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. He promised to dine with us when we are born again.

You May say This Prayer if You Desire to Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Your Lord

Lord, I am sorry for all my sins (confess them by name, if you know). I ask You to forgive me, wash me with Your blood, and make me whole again. I open my heart for You to come in and abide as my Lord. Thank You for coming into my life. Please, give me the grace to walk with you for the rest of my days. Amen!

If you said this prayer, you are born again. You know you are born again by believing God’s word,

“For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9).

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).

You are now a member of the household of God, a child of God, heaven-bound, blood-washed, born again by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit indwells you from the moment you invited Him into your heart. “Now, without faith, it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Walking the new life is reading the scriptures and praying. You may start from the first chapter of Saint John’s Gospel.

Latest by the 1st of January, I will post the Bible reading guide for 2021 to enhance a closer intimacy with God.

It is not enough to only read the Bible, but obey the Word and teachings in all your actions.

Look for a Bible-believing church to fellowship. There are online Churches if restricted by the COVID.

Also, prayer is the Christians’ vital breath. The Lord commanded us to pray at all times. You can add the lessons from the Bible reading to your prayer points.

Tell others about your new-found faith and where they can get help. They can use the blog here or other resources as the Lord leads.

Welcome to the new life in Christ!
