Hi, I'm Irene May

I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

Intimacy and Sustenance

“Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude” (Colossians 2:6).

Can two walk together except they agree? How can we walk with the Lord?

David, in His book of Psalms, gave hints on this topic and wrote,

“Who may ascend onto the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? One who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted his soul to deceit? And has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive a blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation” (Chapter 24:3-5).

How then will a natural man, who was polluted by the gene of sin from Adam and Eve, plus many generational habits transform to walk in alignment with the things of God?

I will remind us all prior to any further conversation, Jesus invited us to return to Him with our burdens, heavy bagging, and promised rest to our souls. (Matthew 11:28-29). Paul now gave some history to the origin of the privilege “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2Corinthians 5:21). “He, Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the dividing wall barrier” (Ephesians 2:14). “There is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28). “Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).

The grace of God we all received when we individually appropriated the outcome of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, salvation, (since we asked Jesus into our lives) has made it possible for us all to be called righteous through the justification of Christ, regardless of our history. We have access with boldness to approach God’s throne through Christ.

Our appreciation and loyalty to such great deliverance and justification demand commitment to walk with Him in faith, immersed in His truth, and other demands.

Our daily walk with God qualifies us to David’s standards.

The next question is, after our born-again experience, how do we remain daily on the hill of the Lord?
