I’m Irene May and welcome to my blog Dubenzjy. I’m the author of ‘I Heard About You and Now I Know You’. It’s a guide to get to know God, overcome your hurts, and remove unwanted habits. In it, I pour out my soul in regards to my relationship with God and how He saved me from my dark past. It’s also an easy to understand guidebook for the youth to follow.

Intimacy: The Resurrection Anointing in You (Part 2)

He is not an Ordinary Man.

Before Christ’s birth, Isaiah prophesied who He is going to be. “For unto us, a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, (Isaiah, 9:6-7).

The angels, at the announcement of His birth, said, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people, for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:10-11).

During Christ’s ministry, He exhibited the power of God through many signs and wonders as we read in the gospels. John tells us, “He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:10-13). Also, Isaiah 53 prophesied the sin-bearing Messiah. “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him.” (v.5).

Jesus, God’s incarnate Deity, the pre-existing Word came into the world, He revealed His clear relationship with the Father, He did the works of His Father manifested in various signs and wonders, spoke the Word with authority, the same Word He said in the beginning at creation, and everything came into existence; demons recognized Him while on earth and obeyed His Deity. He also confirmed the Word He speaks is life and Spirit. (John 6:63).

The Anointing and the Power in You are Not Ordinary.

Paul appreciated the benefits of the salvation in Christ Jesus and said, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love” (Ephesians 1:3-4). Paul prayed for God to give believers the Spirit of wisdom and revelation of the knowledge of God, “the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what the hope of His calling is, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He placed all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Ephesians 1:16-23). Jesus’ life and ministry manifested His divine power and authority. The same power was the pillar of cloud and fire which surrounded the Israelites during their exodus journey (Exodus 13:21-22). The power of the fourth man in the blazing furnace the king of Babylon threw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and the fire did not have any impact on the men. “Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.” He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.” (Daniel 3:24-27). The same Power manifested on the resurrection morning, shook the grave, rolled the stone away, and the Savior is alive. The Word which we read in the scripture is the same He spoke to bring everything into existence, the same Word He said to heal the sick and performed wonders. The Word says, Is not my Word like fire? “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29). A centurion visited Jesus to heal his sick servant, “The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard it, He marveled and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” God has given Him a mighty Name. “Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11). Jesus extended the power to his disciples and said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19).

Are You the Reason the Name is Ineffective?

Why do you say, O Jacob? And speak, O Israel: “My way is hidden from the Lord, And my just claim is passed over by my God”? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might, He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:27-31).

Are You Discouraged because of Unanswered Prayers?

Ask the Lord to search your life and expose any sin that may hinder answer to prayers, and confess any iniquity. Are you born again? Did you ask the Lord into your life, and you can relate with Him as a child to a father? (Revelation 3:20). “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9).

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not short,T\that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies,Your tongue has muttered perversity.” (Isaiah 59:1-3).

We are Potential Recipients of God’s BenefitsGod gave us everything about life and godliness “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, “(2 Peter 1:2-3).

To Enjoy the Full Benefits of God, We live a Life Transformed in Christ Jesus.

If we are in sin, we confess and do not live-in sin anymore. “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1). You must be born again to become a family and co-heir of God “(John 3:16; Romans 8:17). You are to spend time with God daily, through prayer and reading His Word. When reading the Word, you do not read to fulfill the day’s obligation; you read with God’s expectancy to minister for teaching, strength, encouragement, comfort, and the Christian walk. “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15). You are to live a life of faith, believing all God says in His Word is accurate, and practice it. “So, Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20). “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19). Live a life of prayer and do not grieve the Holy Spirit. Attend a Christ-believing Church and fellowship with other Christians. Share the hope that is in you with others. As we walk with God daily, in living out the Word, prayers, and living in the Holy Spirit, our lives begin to exhibit the Power that lives in us. The overcoming grace of God and the joy of salvation. (Psalm 1 and 91).
